The Preapproval Process



Welcome back to my video blog. I want to bring you the latest and greatest information with all things real estate. Today, I wanted to talk about getting preapproved.

In today’s market, buyers need to be aggressive and stand out from their competition. One way to do that is to get preapproved before you start looking at homes.

Why? It first lets you know what your price range is. It also gives you the ability to make a confident offer to a seller. Knowing that you are preapproved gives the seller peace of mind; you are like a cash buyer in their minds.

It also speeds up the process; it’s just 30 days to closing once the home is under contract.

Another important element of being an aggressive buyer is having the right real estate agent. When the market heats up, we tend to see a lot of new agents come into the market. Make sure you have one with experience and knowledge of how to negotiate.

Fall 2013 Market Update



Welcome to my video blog. I am constantly asked about what’s happening in the market place, is now the time to buy or sell, etc.

The truth is there has never been a better time to be in real estate. Whether you are an investor, want to downsize or sell - now is the time!

Our market has tested the bottom limits. We have historically low interest rates of 4.25 percent. It’s a great time to lock in a low rate or if you have a home, consider refinancing.

Our inventories levels are low making it the perfect time for sellers with little competition.
